Product question

Philosophy is often compressed into timelines, names, and schools. The more useful questions cross those boundaries: how does a concept change, and where do thinkers converge or diverge?

PhiloRevol creates an interactive digital-humanities entry point with separate exploration and research modes.

System structure

FastAPI organizes 11 route groups, while React 18 and TypeScript drive the frontend. PostgreSQL stores structured entities, Neo4j represents concept and text relations, Elasticsearch supports retrieval, and Redis provides caching.

The analysis layer connects Jieba, BERTopic, sentence-transformers, PageRank, sentiment, and topic analysis.

Implemented interface

The prototype includes 12 frontend pages across timelines, text mining, knowledge graphs, East-West comparison, and research workflows. Public source and changelog records preserve the current integration state.

Current boundary

This is not a production knowledge base with every corpus connected. Some pages still rely on staged data, and relationship completion plus de-hardcoding are unfinished. The deliverable is a system and research-interface prototype.

Design direction

The goal is not to summarize philosophy for the reader. It is to keep concept relations, primary-text evidence, and analytical methods visible at the same time.
